Wedding Stationery
You’ve planned your wedding day for months – possibly even years. The first step in that magical day actually coming true is the sending of your wedding invitation. Your guests' first impression of the style and tone of your wedding starts with opening the wedding invitation. Many brides still opt for traditional, simple styles for their wedding, thus using traditional white or ivory card stock for their wedding invitation with time-honored wording.
Semi-formal weddings are increasingly popular, allowing you to show off your lifestyle, your dreams, or your personality. Perhaps you love riding Harleys together, or you both love astronomy, or you want to be Princess for a Day… using blank wedding invitations allow you to use graphics of a motorcycle, a border of stars, or a glass slipper on your home-made wedding invitation. You can further show off your own personal flair by printing your invitation wording in a formal calligraphy font, a modern Bernhard-style font, or even a fun Comic-style font.
Informal weddings are loads of fun with a picnic at a favorite park or perhaps a beach wedding. Let your wedding invitation depict the spirit of your wedding. If you are having a western wedding, wrap the invitation in a gingham bow. Beach weddings can be signified by putting sand in the envelope (ok just kidding…) Have fun with your home-made wedding invitation, use your imagination – that’s what have your day is all about.
Wedding Programs
Of course, for any style of wedding it’s always nice to offer your guests wedding programs so they can not only follow the ceremony, but know the names of the wedding party and other participants. Generally you need slightly fewer programs than invitations, for not everyone will be able to attend.
Wedding Thank You Notes
When the wedding day and honeymoon are over, be prompt in writing and sending your wedding thank you notes. Express appreciation to your guests for their gift and the time they took to participate in celebrating your wedding day. Although rules of etiquette give an extended time to send your thank yous, it is best if you can send your thank you notes within 2 months of your wedding. |
