About your unity candle: We sell only candles that are made of smokeless, dripless wax; we have also test-turned every brand of candle we sell. However, even high-quality dripless wax will burn faster and therefore drip or create smoke if near an air flow such as a ceiling fan or window. Also, a very hot environment can cause disfiguration of a candle over time, the length of time depends on the temperature. If your wedding site will have ceiling fans, etc., in operation during your ceremony, be sure to trim your wick to 1/4" or less (allows for a smaller flame) and place protective covering beneath the candle. Other candles used at the reception in centerpieces, etc. could also be refrigerated until they are set out; you will get longer burn time from any candle which is lit while cold. |
